OBITUARIES WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2008 A15 Arlene Kise, 84, homemaker Arlene (Witwer) Kise, 84, of Pequea passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Conestoga View. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late David D. and Emma K. Witwer. Arlene was the wife of the late Paul R.

Kise Jr. who passed away on December 5, 1995. Mrs. Kise was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness East Congregation.

Surviving are her four children, Pauline married to Robert S. Snodgrass of Millersville, Dawn E. Graeff of Pequea, Paul Kise III married to Bonnie of Avondale, Mary E. married to Dennis Orwan of Dauphin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister Eleanor, married to John Housekeeper of Christianna; one sisterin -law, Jean Brown of Leola, and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 1:30 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness 850 Hershey Lancaster.

She was born in Monterey, a daughter of the late Neri and Emma Sonon Bushong. She was the widow of the late Howard L.

Sensenig who died in 1993. A member of Blue Ball Church of the Brethren, Blanche had been employed at the former Roseanau and Cinderella Knitting Mills Surviving are a son, Howard Lamar, husband of Judy (Sensenig) Sensenig of Leola, a daughter, Velma wife of Paul Auker of Terre Hill, 17 grandchildren, 34 greatgrandchildren, and five greatgreat-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death brother, Herbert Bushong, and two sisters, Esther Holsinger and Ruth Reitz. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 at the Blue Ball Church of the Brethren, 1005 Main Blue Ball, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Following the vesper service will be the Ephrata's Concert in the Tom Grater Park. It will take place Sunday promptly at 7:15 p.m. If the weather is bad the concert will be held in the Ephrata Middle School. The program will begin with the National Anthem. Opening March, "Chimes of Liberty" by E.

Meckley, 85, formerly of 145 Chandler Jamestown, N.Y., Chester and Ephrata, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2008 in the Lutheran Home and Rehab Center in Jamestown. A resident of Jamestown since 1995, she was born Feb. 26, 1923 in Marquette, the daughter of Lewis and Helen Lett Lewinstein. Prior to retiring, she had been employed at various restaurants and as an Avon representative in the Ephrata area.

She is survived by a son, Lewis (Diana) Meckley of Jamestown; a daughter, Sandra (William) Schaeffer of Wernersville; and two grandsons: William and Daniel Schaffer, both of Wernersville. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Schaeffer; a sister, Ruth; and by a brother, James. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Pleasantview Cemetery in Sinking Springs. Visitation will not be observed. Sensenig, 21, of Lancaster, entered into rest at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, on Sunday, June 29, 2008 as a result of traumatic injuries from a vehicle accident.

Born in Ephrata on July 8, 1986, he was the only son of Randy L. Sensenig of Lancaster and a son of Laura E. (Shalter) Swenson of Akron. A hunter, he loved the family cabin in the mountains and spending time at the beach. Shawn was a 2005 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg, and was currently a senior at Millersville University, majoring in biology.

He worked at Willow Valley Retirement Community in food service. He is survived by his father, Randy L. Sensenig and loving friend Tiffany Waldren, of Lancaster, his mother, Laura E. (Shalter) Swenson of Akron, half-brother, Kyle Swenson of Akron, half-sister, Margaret Swenson of Akron, paternal grandparents, Bruce husband of Elaine H. (Good) Sensenig of Clay, maternal grandparents, Fred, husband of Margaret Shalter of Denver, two uncles, David husband of Jennifer Sensenig of Rothsville, and Ray, husband of Shari Shalter of Ephrata, an aunt, Joyce, wife of John Ferdrick of Mt.

Joy and many close friends. There will be no public viewing. A visitation was held at the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Road, Ephrata, on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 and Thursday, July 3, with funeral services at the church. Rev. Dr.
