.0 V79 Tort' 10 1 EPHRATREVIEW OBITUARIES WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2004 A13 MagdelirTurner, 89, Magdelin (Marret) Ann Turnex, 89, of 2499 Road, Narvon, died Sept. 1 at Zerbe Nursing Center after long illness. DE She was involed in community activities and vis a sought after seamstress, priding wedding gowns, suits an dresses for many of the fashionple ladies of the area. She loved chidren and provided babysitting services for local families. Later her family took care of her from 207 Spring Garden Street, Ephrata, the home of her late son.

She was the widow of the late John T. Turner Sr If Born in Mahorey City, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret Uovich Dudonis. Surviving are a daughter, Peg Correnti of Downers Grove, IL, four grandchidren and seven great-grandchldren. 01 She was preceded in death by a son, John I. (Jack), husband of Susan Gneiding Turner of Ephrata.

Audrey Martin, 67, ..0.0 Audrey Caroline Fox Martin, 67, of Ephrata, died at home Sept. 22. She was under the care of a physician. She had been employed in the personal care division of Luther Acres for several years. She was a graduate of Caernarvon Township High School and a member of Churchtown United Methodist Church.

Born in Glenmore, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Webster and Geraldine Harple Fox. Magdelin Turner Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Arrangements were made by Stradling Funeral Homes, 201 Church Ephrata. of Ephrata Surviving are two daughters, Melody K. Zerbe of Lititz and Pamela A.

Martin of Beaumont, TX; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Webster Dennis, and Richard Fox. Final care will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main Street, Ephrata. Donald L.

Good, 73, CNH service Donald L. Good, 73, of 431 Lake Ephrata, died Sept. 24 at Ephrata Manor after a brief illness. Mr. Good worked for 41 years in the service department at CNH in New Holland, retiring in 1991.

He was affiliated with Petra Christian Fellowship and a member of the Red Rose Coin Club. He also enjoyed computers. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Roy and Mara Gamber Good. He was married 28 years on April 30 to Betty W. Walker Good.

His first wife, Delores Wilson Good, died in 1975. -0 'Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kathleen, married to Tom Rose, of Mt. Rose; and Karen, married to Steve Foulk, of Walnut Creek, CA; a son Roger married to Diane Good of Brownstown; two step-daughters, Linda K. Hart of New Holland and Sheri Wiess of Quarryville; ten grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Sept.

VIL Virginia Scholl, sewing machine op. Virginia A. Scholl, died September 21 in Ephrata Community Hospital, having been brought there from the Denver Nursing Home, where she had resided since December 2003. She worked as a sewing machine operator for Narrow Fabric, West Reading, until retirement in 1981. She was a member of St.

25 at Maple Farms Nursing Center. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, she lived in the NY area for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church and treasurer of the Jefferson United Methodist Women for many years. She was an active hospital volunteer in Plainfield, NJ and Stamford, NY. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years.

Her husband, Edwin A. Gilbert, died in 1991. Surviving are three sons, David, married to Kathy Stark of Hampton, NJ, John, married to Carol Stark of Akron, and Edwin married to June Gilbert of Syracuse, NY; a sister, Elizabeth Perucki of Rochester, NY; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Main Stamford, NY. Deaths of Local Interest CORA E. "DOLLY" LESHER, 83, of Lancaster, died on Sept. 21 at ManorCare Health Service following a lengthy illness of natural causes. A homemaker, she was an avid bingo player for over 50 years.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Elsie Troup Heiney. A local area survivor is a son, Parke married to Sharon L. Lesher of Denver. JAMES E.

KIRCHOFF, 80, of Willow Street, died Sept. 18 at home. He worked for Yellow Freight as a dockworker and was a member of the Teamsters. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James A. and Katherine Heckel Kirchoff.

A local area survivor is a son, Wayne Kirchoff of Brownstown. ORUS M. KING, 97, of Lancaster, formerly of Lititz, died Sept. 21 at Conestoga View following a brief illness. Of local interest, he was employed as a maintenance man for Twin Brook Mobile Home Park, Rothsville, until his retirement in 1986.

Born in Eglon, WV, he was the son of the late David A. and Olive Bolyard King. A local area survivor is a granddaughter, Rebecca married to Harold Rogers of Denver. SANDRA L. GUILES, 64, of Lancaster, died Sept.

21 at Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness. Of local interest, she was a retired school teacher, having taught at Ephrata Middle School for many years. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Miriam Stormfeltz. HARRY G. MANLEY, 61, of Lancaster, died on Sept.

11 in Chicago, IL where he was attending a business conference. Mr. Manley worked for many years as an independent sales representative and was owner of Gurutzpe Machine Tools, LLC USA. Born in Wrightsville, he was the son of the late Harry G. and Helen M.

He also worked for the PA Turnpike for 10 years, as well as for Quinlan Pretzeis, in Denver. A U.S. Army veteran of WWII, Meckley served in the 76th Infantry Division. Bard Dem- ocratic Club, he enjoyed Formula 1 and NASCAR racing and following the Atlanta Braves. Born in Denver, he was the son of the late Charles and Carrie Moore Meckley. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra widow of William C. Schaeffer and a son, Lewis, married to Diana Stetler Meckley; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by a brother, Archie.

Metzler Road, Ephrata, formerly of Lititz, died unexpectedly Sept. 22 at home. She was a homemaker and a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference. Her husband, Phares W. Weaver, died Dec.

31, 1999. Born in Brecknock Township, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Mary Herr Eberly. Surviving are three sisters, Annie H. Huber, Katie H. Eberly, and Susanna H.
