Coffroth Bushong. Willow Street Rl, was stillborn Friday afternoon, at Lancaster General Hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents. Ralph D. and Yada R.

Coffroth, Leola; paternal grandparents, James G. and H. Blanche Bushong, Lancaster; two maternal great-grandmothers. Bertha Rodgers, Brownstown, and Hannah Coffroth, Christiana; and one paternal great-grandfather, Raymond Bushong, Lancaster. A 20-year-old Maytown man died early Saturday when he was thrown from a speeding vehicle and run over, possibly by a West Donegal Township police cruiser that had been pursuing the vehicle from Elizabethtown, according to state police.

The victim was a passenger in a 1972 Chevrolet Blazer that Joseph 75. of 116 Church St. ib FLOWERS. Mrs Verna. 81.

Mary died Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Lancaster General Hospital, after a prolonged illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Alice Leonard Smith, and the wife of Clifford D. Rittenhouse.

The Rit-tenhouses celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary April 29. Mrs. Rittenhouse was named Mother of the Year in 1982 by the West Lampeter Jaycettes. Diagnosed at the age of 10 as having terminal tuberculosis, she sur- Erised doctors with her recovery. lowever she suffered from a series of illnesses throughout her life, including cancer and the removal of a lung.

In a May 8, 1982, newspaper article in the Lancaster New Era, she is described by daughter, Ginny Denlinger, as a fighter. Even though she was sick all her life, shes always fought and never gave up. the most courageous woman I know. From 1969 to 1981, she was employed as a waitress at McCro-rys, formerly at 17 N. Queen St.

She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy wife of Francis H. Wood Lancaster; Virginia wife of Curvin Denlinger, Manheim; and four grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and six sisters: Russel E.

Smith, Ronks; Mary wife of Christian Z. Eshelman; Jennie, wife of Morris McBride, both of Ephrata; Margaret, wife of Ernest Wickline; Anna May, wife of Russell B. Fraelich; Alice M. Vecero; and Ruth M. Venerick, all of Michael Kent Gibble Killed in Crash pital.

River Maytown. Gibble was a son of Patricia and Robert S. Gibble. He' worked as a painter and wallpaper hanger tor Ash Painting New Holland, relatives said. In 1983 Gibble was selected the outstanding student in the painting and decorating program and the best student from the 16 trade areas at the Mount Joy Vocational-Technical School.

Police identified the driver of the Blazer as Jacob Michael McConnell, 22, of 117 W. High Maytown. McConnell suffered a concussion in the 1:50 a.m. accident and was listed in serious condition Helen W. Miller Helen W.

Miller, 82, a school teacher for 31 years, died Saturday morning at Maple Farms Nursing Home, Akron, after an extended illness. She formerly lived at 2104 New Holland Pike. She was the wife of John B. Miller, who died in 1977. Born in West Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Edwin J.

and Annetta F. Groff Wenger. She taught school at the Myers School in Upper Leacock Township from 1937 to 1968. She also was a member of Hellers Salem United Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters: Grace wife of Raymond R.

Buckwalter, Lancaster; Mary Lou, wife of Dr. Jerome M. Briggs, Lancaster; and Joan M. Mowbray, Boston; seven grandchildren; three great-granddaughters. She also is survived by a sister, Irene wife of Isaac H.

Joseph Hospital Saturday after an illness of one year. He was the husband of Blanche Potts Cosgrove. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary Jan. 21, 1985. He was the son of the late Jerome C.

and Sarah Michler Cosgrove. He was a custodian for the School District of Lancaster, retiring from that position in 1977. He was formerly employed at the Frank Huss Heating Company, Lancaster. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lorraine, wife of William G. Hershey, Lancaster, and nieces and nephews.

Esther Wilt dead at 78 Esther E. Wilt, 78, formerly of 1613 Wheatland died Saturday afternoon at Whitehall Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. Born in West Fairview, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Arianna Beachler Wilt. She was formerly a Deputy Prothonotary in the Prothono-tarys Office of the Lancaster County Courthouse. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Millersville.

She is survived by a sister, Florentena wife of Robert L. Groff, of Lancaster; and two brothers, J. Kenneth Wilt of Dover, and Floyd B. Wilt of Grand Rapids, Mich. Mabel Milburn been pursuing McConnells vehicle at speeds above 90 miles-an-hour, Trooper Eugene Gol-bourne said.

Golbourne said Fry had lost sight of the vehicle and apparently was unaware it had crashed. The policeman saw the wreckage when he crested a hill a short distance from Route 441. She was a member of the Allen AME Church, Oxford, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the South V. Flowers, 81, of Elizabethtown Verna Flowers, 81, of 157 W. High Elizabethtown, died Friday at 9:30 p.m., at Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Bricker. She was the widow of the late Wiley Flowers.

She was a member of the Elizabethtown Flower Club, Elizabethtown Chapter 36 of the American War Mothers, and an honorary member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Friendship Fire Company Number One, Elizabethtown.
