INTELLIGENCER JOURNAL, Lancaster, Tuesday, May 5 1967 -5 -i Obituaries Rosana Kinsey, 78, Secretary Rosana E. Kinsey, 78, a retired executive secretary, died Monday from apparent natural causes at home, 845 Pleasure Road. She had worked for the We6t York School District and Motor Freight York. She was the wife of the late Russell F. Kinsey.

Born in Stew-artstown, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Maude Thompson Ebaugh. She belonged to St. Lukes United Church of Christ, the North Lancaster Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, the Manheim Township auxiliary of Lancaster General Hospital and the Manheim Township Ambulance Association. A daughter, Marian Lynnette, Lancaster, and a grandson Martha Hines Martha Hines, 89, of 1191 Creek Road, Leola, died Monday at 2:35 a m.

at Lancaster General Hospital, where she was admitted Sunday evening. She had been ill since January. Miss Hines had resided in the Oregon area of Manheim Township the past 32 years. She was a member of Oregon Community United Methodist Church. Born in Hillsville, she was the daughter of the late James and Mattie Gregory Hines.

Surviving is a sister, Vennie H. Crockett, with whom she lived, and several nieces and nephews. Birtlis STOLTZFUS, Mr. and Mrs. Sam J.

Corsage Sale Aids Dance Group Tour Dance students of the Movement Laboratory Youth Ensemble and their parents are sponsoring a Mothers Day Corsage Sale on Saturday to benefit the Goodwill Thru Dance tour of the Soviet Union scheduled for this summer.

Corsages will be available beginning at 10 a.m. at Lancaster Country Day School and at the Jamesway stores at East Towne Mall, Lincoln Highway East and Columbia Avenue. Proceeds will help fund the dance groups tour of the Soviet Union this August. Dorothy Smith, Peach Bottom Rl Dorothy Elizabeth Shank Smith, 61, Peach Bottom Rl, died unexpectedly Monday morning at her home. She had been under a physician's care.

She was the wife of Ralph A. Smith Sr. Born in Pequea Township, she was the daughter of Willis M. and Edna Frankhouser Shank. She belonged to the West Willow United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by three sons, Ralph A. Jr. and John both at home; and Richard Ephrata; and a daughter, Lynn, wife of John Holt, Gettysburg; two grandchildren and a sister, Clara, wife of Gus Miller, West Willow. Mary M. Ness Mary M.

McManus Ness, 96, formerly of Church Street Towers, died Sunday evening at Conestoga View, where she had resided the past three years. She was the widow of Harry W. Ness, who died in October 1967. Mrs. Ness was a member of St.

Stephens Lutheran Church. During World War II, she was named a Gold Star Mother. Born in Chestnut Level, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Harvey McManus. Surviving are a daughter, Alma Rose Denlinger, East Petersburg; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren Bachman Infant The infant son of David B. and Cindy L.

Christ Bachman, 648 Union was stillborn Thursday at Lancaster General Hospital. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Betty Mellinger Christ, Lancaster; his paternal grandfather, Donald F. Bachman, Lancaster, and a paternal great-grandmother, Esther Rittenhouse, Lancaster. Developer Files For Rezoning In Manor Twp. The Manor Township supervisors Monday night received a request to rezone 52.5 acres in the area of Donnerville and Habecker a roads from rural-agricultural to low-density residential.

In response to a letter from Donald Weston, a resident, the su- pervisors announced they are looking at the cost of installing traffic lights at the Stone Mill Road and Columbia Avenue inter- section. The tract, which will cost $2,500, is part of the par- cel for a future township building. Bob Brenneman and Terry L. Kauffman, the county Republican organizations endorsed county commissioner candidates, will be on the hustings today talking about Lancaster Countys controversial program of spot real estate reassessment. Keith Orris, chairman of the Brenneman-Kauffman for Commissioner Committee, Said the candidates will hold an 8:15 a.m. press conference on the steps of the old Lancaster County Courthouse today to discuss the spot reassessment issue. The two GOP-endorsed candidates will also be appearing today from 6 to 8 p.m.

on a radio call-in show hosted by Bob Thompson on WLPA, 1490 on the AM dial. The schedule for the rest of the week calls for a day off for Brenneman and Kauffman on Wednesday. On Thursday from 7:30 to 9 p.m., they will be participating in a debate with their primary election opponents, incumbent Commissioner James E. Huber and former county controller Donald S. Weaver.

Thursdays debate is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Lancaster County and will be held in Fondersmith Auditorium at Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St. The debate will be broadcast live on WLPA-AM and on cable channel 22 on the Lancaster cable television system. On Friday, Orris said, Brenneman or Kauffman, possibly both, will be campaigning in downtown Lancaster and the Central Market area from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

On Saturday, Brenneman and Kauffman will be campaigning door to door in the Cocalico area and later in Lancaster City, Orris said. William Aberts II William II. Aberts II, 46, a former S. Marine Corps sergeant and an employee of Miller Hartman died unexpectedly of apparent natural causes Saturday at his home, 234 N. Pine St.

An autopsy was ordered. Aberts worked in the warehouse for Miller Hartman, a wholesale grocer. Previously, he served 16 years in the S. Marine Corps and was discharged in 1975. Aberts was a member of the Teamsters Chauffeurs Local Union 429, the Rainmakers Association, the Moose Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lancaster Post 1690.

Born in Bolton, he was the son of Mabel H. Gokey Aberts, Lancaster, and the late William H. Aberts. Surviving besides his mother are a son, William H. Ill, New Providence; two stepdaughters, Kathy, wife of Manolo Torres, and Cherri, wife of Thomas Herr, both of Lancaster; a stepson, Robert Neff, Lancaster; and six step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters; Elaine, wife of John Bister, Georgetown, Edith, wife of Sam TShudy; George; Elma, wife of Victor Richardson; Shirley Myers; Sherry Santiagio; and Delores, wife of Michael Booth, all of Lancaster; Emma Jean, wife of Ricky Brooks, New Providence; ana Clara, wife of William Brewer, Paducah, Ky. Catherine Gernert Catherine M. Gernert, 63, My-erstown R2, died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of Thomas H. Gernert Mrs.

Gernert had been head cook at the Eastern Lebanon County Middle School cafeteria for many years. Among her survivors are three sons: Lee, Leola; Guy, Lit-itz; and Nelson, Elizabethtown. Martha H. Shirk Martha H. Shirk, 65, of 314 S.

State Talmage, died unexpectedly at 1:45 am. Monday at Lancaster General Hospital. She had been under a physicians care. She was the wife of Walter H. Shirk, with whom she observed a 46th wedding anniversary Dec.

25. A resident of Talmage for a year and a half, Mrs. Shirk had previously lived 13 years in Elmira, N.Y., after residing in Leola. Mrs. Shirk operated a craft business in her home.

She had done domestic work while living in Elmira. She attended Elmira Baptist Church, and Carpenter Mennonite Church, Talmage. Born in Bart Township, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mable Hassel Eisen-berger. Surviving besides her husband are two childern, Ida Mae, wife of Dale L. Weaver, Gordon-ville, and Harold Lancaster; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Ben Eisenberger, Gap, and George Eisenberger, Willow Street Rl; and two sisters, Miriam, wife of W.
